TY - CONF TI - Study of the Energy Collected by a Heaving Buoy in front of the Artha Breakwater and Comparison with a SSG System and an Oscillating Flap AU - Baills, J AU - Dugor, J AU - Mory, M AU - Baudry, V T2 - 12th European Wave and Tidal Energy Conference (EWTEC 2017) C1 - Cork, Ireland AB - A heaving buoy is considered here for implementation in front of a coastal structure protecting the bay of Saint Jean de Luz in the southwest of France. The study optimizes the Power Take-Off (PTO) parameters in order to maximize the collected wave energy while keeping the displacement of the oscillating floater within acceptable limits for all tidal and wave conditions. The wave energy recovered by this Wave Energy Converter (WEC) is then compared to these collected by an overtopping system and an oscillating flap-type WEC. Pros and cons of the three WEC are finally discussed. DA - 2017/08// PY - 2017 PB - European Wave and Tidal Energy Conference 2017 UR - https://ewtec.org/proceedings/ LA - English KW - Wave ER -
