This site-wide search returns results for all documents and events in Tethys Engineering, prioritizing the best matches. Partial word matches are returned (e.g. "engineer" finds "engineering"), but every entered term must be found. If you don't find any results, try reducing the number of words entered or removing special characters. Filters to the right can help narrow your search. Tethys Engineering features an integrated search with other marine renewable energy databases in PRIMRE - click the buttons below "Showing Results for" to search other integrated databases.

Launched in 2019, the Portal and Repository for Information on Marine Renewable Energy (PRIMRE) was developed to serve as a centralized access point that enhances the accessibility and discoverability of information relevant to marine renewable energy (MRE) development and operations in the U.S.
Part one of this two-part webinar series will highlight new sites and tools that have been developed within PRIMRE: the MRE Technology Database, MRE Software, and Telesto. The MRE Technology Database contains information on MRE devices, points to companies active in the MRE field, and traces the development of projects around the world. MRE Software is a collection of software relevant to MRE development, including the MRE Code Hub and PRIMRE Code Catalog. Telesto is a collection of information and guidance for testing, measurement, and data analysis for MRE research, development, and demonstration.

This report offers guidance for the matching of wave and tidal energy devices to marine energy sites and also for interaction between devices that make up an array. At the stage of writing this document arrays are in their infancy with most development focussing upon individual commercially viable devices tested in real sea conditions. There is however sufficient understanding and research to…

… lack of infrastructure to support in-water testing. A small number of established permanent test sites exist, but these sites are often prohibitively expensive to build and operate. The … objective of this project was to develop a concept design for a small deployable marine energy test system. The solution described is a self-contained system with the capability to monitor the local environmental conditions, host and test one small wave energy converter (typically <1-kW power generation), and collect and store …
