This educational webinar will highlight some current initiatives and programs happening in the USA and the Netherlands. There are similarities and differences found in the energy markets of the Netherlands and the USA, but for both countries, energy innovation never stops.
For example, in the USA, the federal budget for Department of Energy has included $1.9B for critical and emerging technologies, $800M to advance nuclear fusion, and $900M for commercializing new technology such as sustainable aviation fuels. The government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands is also making substantial investments in energy innovation. A number of these programs will be touched on in the upcoming webinar.
What new sources of energy have the most traction in the market for growth and investment? What new technologies are being explored? Where are these supply chains growing and what does the future look like for investments? Given that the cost of energy is rising, what are different market actors doing to increase supply, grow the energy ecosystem, and help ensure reliability and affordability for present and future energy customers?
This informational session will features presentations from:
- US entities: Pacific Northwest National Lab, Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, New Bedford (MA) Ocean Cluster.
- Netherlands entities: Energy from Water Association, Water2Energy, QuinteQ (tent.)
Following an 8 minute presentation by each organization there will be moderated Q&A with the whole group.
