Supergen ORE Hub Webinar Series: Design for Cyclic Loading of Wind Turbine Monopiles

This webinar will provide valuable insights into the cyclic loading of offshore wind turbine monopiles, exploring industry perspectives and recent academic work. Avi Shonberg, Chief Specialist in Geotechnical Engineering at Ørsted, will highlight current challenges facing the industry, particularly those related to the design of monopile foundations. Professor Byron Byrne from the University of Oxford and Co-Director of the Supergen ORE Hub will provide an overview of the PICASO project, a recent research initiative, led by the University of Oxford, that explores new monopile design methods that specifically address cyclic loading.
