Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult is launching a series of half-hour lunchtime events, The Tidal Power Express Event Series, to introduce key tidal power innovators through:

  • A Technology Walkaround
  • Interview on Market and Export Readiness
  • Explainer of the Supply Chain Ecosystem
  • Audience Question Time

The third event, on Wednesday 8th December (13.00-13.30 UTC), will feature SIMEC Atlantis. SIMEC Atlantis operates the world’s largest tidal array in Pentland Firth in Scotland and is the first company in the world to repurpose an existing coal-fired power station for clean energy use. Across the world, the company has more than 1,000MW of tidal power in development in Scotland, Northern Ireland, India with their sights set on upcoming projects in China, Japan and Indonesia.
