Center for Engineering and Industrial Development (CIDESI)

Research center founded on March 9, 1984. It belonged to the System of Centers of the National Council of Science and Technology, CONAHCYT, now the Secretariat of Science, Humanities, Technology and Innovation ( SECIHTI ) .

CIDESI contributes to the development of the country's productive sector through Research and Innovation projects, as well as specialized high-level technological services, at its facilities located in the State of Querétaro (Pié de la Cuesta), CENTA Querétaro (National Center for Aeronautical Technologies), Nuevo León, within the Research and Technological Innovation Park, State of Mexico and Campeche.

It offers postgraduate programs incorporated into the National Postgraduate System, SNP.

CIDESI maintains effective strategic alliances in research and development, as well as in human capital development, with national institutions such as: the Institute of Astronomy of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, the Autonomous University of Querétaro and the National Center for Metrology and strategic alliances with international institutions such as: the Japan International Cooperation Agency, the Aachen University of Applied Sciences in Germany, Lehigh University, Texas A&M University, Team Technologies and the Anderson School of Management of the University of New Mexico in the United States, the University of Sheffield in England, the Center for Aeronautical Technologies and Tecnalia in Spain.

CIDESI is certified under the ISO 9001:2015 standard  and under specific standards of major companies.

It has been awarded the National Technology Prize and the Querétaro State Export Prize. It supplies the automotive, auto parts, aerospace, energy, petrochemical, electronics, appliance, and food industries, among others. CIDESI is a member of the National Instruments Alliance, a Texas Instruments Design House, and Freescale.
