Centro de Investigaciones Oceanográficas e Hidrográficas del Caribe (CIOH)

The Center for Oceanographic and Hydrographic Research of the Caribbean, was created by resolution 238 of July 9, 1975, as a dependency of the General Maritime Directorate, in order to conduct basic and applied research in the different disciplines of Oceanography, Hydrography , Protection of the Marine Environment and Management of Coastal Areas, particularly in the Colombian Caribbean.
