Fundación Universidad de América

The Universidad de América Foundation is a private Colombian university located in the city of Bogotá. It was founded in 1956 by Jaime Posada Díaz as a school of architecture, which became a multidisciplinary institution.

The institution emphasizes quality over size, concentrating on a core of academic disciplines with a strong reputation in engineering and applied sciences. It is comprised of three schools, containing eight academic departments, particularly well known for its programs in Chemical Engineering , Mechanical Engineering , Industrial Engineering, and Petroleum Engineering.
