Founded on May 27, 1953 under the name of Triângulo Mineiro Medical School. Following the success and national and international recognition in the training of physicians, the FMTM served as the basis for the creation of Nursing and Biomedicine courses and later in the creation of UFTM. It has its headquarters in Rua Frei Paulino nº 30, Abadia neighborhood, in Uberaba.
