Abstract
The last 12 months have been an interesting period for wave and tidal energy. A number of key devices have been installed at a prototype level, and the interest in the sectors has grown immeasurably. Adam Westwood of energy industry analysts Douglas-Westwood Limited, using data from a forthcoming study The World Offshore Renewable Energy Report 2004-2008, examines recent developments, highlights some of the key technologies and provides market forecasts for the 2004-2008 period.
