Fundy Ocean Research Center for Energy (FORCE)

The Fundy Ocean Research Center for Energy (FORCE) is Canada’s leading research centre for in-stream tidal energy, located in the Bay of Fundy, Nova Scotia.FORCE acts as a host to technology developers, providing the electrical infrastructure to deliver power to the grid; it also acts as watchdog, providing independently reviewed environmental monitoring. FORCE also conducts research to better understand our site, estimated to contain 2,500 megawatts of extractable power.
FORCE is a catalyst to the safe and successful development of a tidal technology sector able to deliver clean, renewable energy for generations to come.
