Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. (KHNP) is the largest electric power company which generates approximately 31.56%(Dec. 31, 2023 / The Monthly Report on Major Electric Power Statistics) of the total electric power generated in Korea with the noble sense of mission and pride of ‘supplying electric power in a stable manner to enrich the lives of people and to contribute to the growth of the national economy’ as its driving force. In December 2020, KHNP operated 24 nuclear power plants, 37 hydroelectric plants, 16 pumped-storage power plants, and 32 renewable power plants. Its total facility capacity was 28,607 MW, with a total generation capacity of 164,613 GWh. It is a subsidiary of the Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO).
