Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology (KICT) is a Science & Technology government-sponsored research institute that opened in 1983. KICT has continuously tried to solve national and social issues to create convenient and safe high-quality land in Korea. KICT supports government policies through the development of source technologies in the land, infrastructure, and construction fields as well as through results diffusion. KICT is responding to the convergence of construction technologies and other advanced technologies with the additional responsibility of expanding its research scope to the land and infrastructure field.
