Toba National College of Maritime Technology, the predecessor of our school, was founded in 1881 by Makoto Kondo, one of the six major educators of the Meiji era. Currently, there are 140 national colleges of technology nationwide, but 1967 years have passed since Japan's colleges of technology were combined into one large organization called the National Institute of National Colleges of Technology in 54.Called "technical college" in Japan and recognized by the word "KOSEN" overseas, its unique education has been highly evaluated not only by industry but also by the international community these days. It is an institution.
At our school, we have set three educational goals that all students should keep in mind, and we are training highly-skilled, creative, internationally-accepted, highly-skilled engineers who are full of human power.
- One is to become an educated person with a rich humanity.
- Second, to be a creative engineer.
- Third, to become a member of society with abundant internationality.
