Qingdao National Oceanography Laboratory (QNOL)
The National Laboratory was co-sponsored in 2000 by Ocean University of China, Institute of Oceanology of Chinese Academy of Sciences, First Institute of Oceanography of State Oceanic Administration, Yellow Sea Fisheries Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Fishery Science of Ministry of Agriculture, and Qingdao Institute of Marine Geology of China Geological Survey under Ministry of Land and Resources. It is a national marine science and technology innovation platform co-established by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Land and Resources, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Agriculture, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shandong provincial government and Qingdao municipal government with the support from the related marine science institutions in China.
