West African Science Service Center on Climate Change and Adapted Land-Use (WASCAL)

WASCAL is a large-scale, research-focused Climate Service Centre designed to enhance the resilience of human and environmental systems to climate change and increased variability in West Africa. It achieves this by strengthening research infrastructure, pooling expertise from West African countries and Germany, and providing science-based information to support adaptation and mitigation strategies. Funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), WASCAL is implemented in a collaborative effort by West African and German partners.
