Abstract
The costs associated with current technologies for the mooring, anchoring, or foundation systems of floating Offshore Wind and Marine HydroKinetic (MHK) systems are a disproportionate portion of the total cost of an installed system, and thus of the Levelized Cost of Electricity. New anchor technology has the potential to reduce these costs substantially.
