Corporation Center of Excellence in Marine Sciences (CEMarin)

The Corporation Center of Excellence in Marine Sciences is an academic consortium that works to study problems in this field and apply the knowledge obtained to solve them. They contribute to the development of Scientific Research, Technology, Innovation, Scientific Training and Entrepreneurship in Marine Sciences in Colombian, regional and global environments under 4 specific areas:

  • Contribute to the advancement of Science and the greater well-being of Colombian society through the promotion and conduct of research and consulting in the area of Marine Science

  • Work for the generation of knowledge and the implementation of new technologies, for the innovation of processes or products and for the generation of Entrepreneurship projects

  • Promote scientific training processes at the postgraduate level in the area of Marine Sciences

  • Work in the area of Marine Sciences in international scenarios, to position the country in global scenarios of scientific and technological cooperation
