Fraunhofer Institute for Energy Economics and Energy System Technology
The Fraunhofer Institute for Energy Economics and Energy System Technology IEE in Kassel was established in 2018 from the energy system technology branch of Fraunhofer IWES and researches for the national and international transformation of energy systems. It develops technical and economic solutions in order to further reduce the costs of using renewable energies, to secure the supply despite volatile generation, to ensure grid stability at the high level and to promote the success of the energy transition business model.
