Control
The main purpose of a marine renewable energy device’s control system is to alter its dynamic behavior in order to maximize power absorption, optimize electricity generation, minimize stall, or limit loads. A number of control strategies have been implemented such as reactive control, optimal control, model predictive control, shape-based control, dynamic programming, and latching.
