Instituto Español de Oceanografía

The Spanish Institute of Oceanography (IEO) is a Spanish public research organization dedicated to oceanography. It is an autonomous body, classified as a Public Research Organization, under the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities . Its functions are scientific research and technical advice and support to the government. It is functionally divided into three areas, respectively dedicated to fisheries resources, aquaculture and the conservation of the marine environment.
