Achieving a Three-Fold Increase in Performance for the Archimedes Waveswing Wave Energy Converter

This paper will present the significant performance increases achieved with the Archimedes Waveswing wave energy converter technology since the conclusion of the Wave Energy Prize in 2016. The technology fundamentals are described, together with the advanced controls strategy, physical test results and the methods used to determine the optimum parameters to achieve best economic performance.
