6th Annual Marine Energy Technology Symposium (METS)

The 6th annual Marine Energy Technology Symposium (METS) will be held as part of Waterpower Week in Washington on April 30th - May 2nd, 2018, at the Capital Hilton Hotel in Washington, D.C. In addition to METS, the simultaneously occurring conferences that make up Waterpower Week in Washington are the International Marine Renewable Energy Conference (IMREC) and the National Hydropower Association (NHA) Annual Conference.

  • Technical research, development, and demonstration of systems and components through simulation, laboratory experiments, and field testing
  • Assessment and characterization of resources through simulation and field measurements
  • Identification, monitoring, and mitigation of environmental effects
  • Economic assessments
  • Societal research and policy developments related to marine energy
