Abstract
To model the TALOS wave energy converter, a time-domain numerical modelling has been implemented, and this in-house time domain analysis tool is used for optimizing the TALOS wave energy converter, including the effects of the PTO parameters, such as the spring coefficients and the PTO damping coefficient, in addition to the shape optimization of the TALOS wave energy converter in terms of improving TALOS WEC performance: The relevant results have shown that the optimisations of the TALOS wave energy converter could be very beneficial to significantly improve its capacity for wave energy extraction.
