AB - This report examines the application of a number of numerical wave models to the process of quantifying the resource at a specific coastal site. The models are used to transform the deep water wave climate to a location in shallower water. Validation of the models is conducted using existing wave buoy measurements at the site. The results and analysis presented are intended to give practical insight to the modelling processes involved in a site specific resource assessment. Variations between the models are examined and discussed.
