Safety and security encompasses all aspects of personnel’s occupational health and safety throughout the manufacturing, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning of marine renewable energy devices, as well as the security of the devices themselves. As technological advances in communication, supply chain management, data processing, and grid integration continue, new security measures (namely cybersecurity) will be necessary to safeguard operations.
