Hybrid Devices

Devices collecting energy from multiple sources (e.g., wind and wave).

Hybrid devices can collect energy from multiple sources. Optimizing the exploitation of resources by combining devices into an integrated structure or by co-locating separate devices in a farm configuration can reduce deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning costs. Combining devices may also allow mutual benefits, for example, wave energy devices may dampen wave forces on the substructure of an offshore wind turbine.
